DESCRIPTION:Cubs Field Gun Run – 30th Anniversary\nCelebrate 30 years of the Cubs Field Gun Run this June with an action-packed morning of teamwork\, speed\, and fun! \nDate: Sunday\, 14 June 2026Location: Blindman’s Wood Scout CentreTimes: \n\n\nLeaders arrive: 9:30 am \n\n\nCubs arrive: 10:00 am \n\n\nWho Can Join: \n\n\nCubs only – this special event celebrates the 30th anniversary of Cubs participating in the Field Gun Run. \n\n\nTeams must have a minimum of 8 Cubs. \n\nIf you’re unable to bring a full team of 8 Cubs\, or you have more than 8 but not enough for multiple full teams\, please still come along with what you have. We’ll combine groups where needed so every young person gets the chance to take part \n\nActivities & Fundraising: \n\n\nTeams can also run a fundraising base (no food bases – refreshments will be run by the 59th and 9th/21st groups). \n\n\nCost: £2 per participant \nRewards: \n\n\nEach participant receives a commemorative badge \n\n\nMedals will be awarded to the winning teams \n\n\nBooking:Spaces are limited\, so book your team by emailing glv@59seatonscouts.org.uk. \nCome along for a morning of friendly competition\, teamwork\, and Cubs spirit\, and be part of a milestone celebration for this iconic event!

The tournament is fast-paced and fun\, giving all participants the chance to play multiple games in a friendly\, supportive environment. \nHelpers are warmly welcome to assist as round supervisors or scorekeepers\, making it a great opportunity to get involved and support the event. \nFrom beginners to confident players\, everyone will have the chance to test their skills\, enjoy lively chess action\, and be part of a fantastic Scouts community experience.
